October Empties / Products I've Used Up
Last month was one of those months' where everything seemed to start running out at the same time (we've all been there!). So here are my October Empties - my thoughts on them, and which ones I'll be repurchasing again in the future.

Avalon Organics Shine Ylang Ylang Shampoo & Nourishing Lavender Conditioner
I've tried out a lot of the different variations and formulas from Avalon Organics' haircare range, and this particular combo seems to work the best for my hair, so I've gone through a couple of bottles of these in the past. The Shine Ylang Ylang Shampoo is a great clarifying shampoo to use to get rid of any product build-up from over-styling (in my case, an incessant use of dry shampoo and volumizing powders!), and the Nourishing Lavender Conditioner is ideal for fine, dry hair that needs moisture without feeling weighed down. Both are SLS free and very affordable, so I like to alternate them with my more higher end haircare from Swell and Aveda. Repurchase? Yes.

Dr. Organic Snail Gel Facial Serum
Some people are completely grossed out by snail gel products, but don't knock it until you've tried it! I love this serum; it's lightweight, easily absorbed and works well underneath any of my face oils and moisturisers. I tend to use it just in the evenings, though you can use it with your daytime moisturiser if your skin is drier / more mature than mine. It helps to smooth out any fine lines, and keeps my skin soft and balanced. Repurchase? Already using my next bottle!

Deep Steep Moisture Stick in Lavender Chamomile
I'm a big fan of these jumbo sized balm sticks from Deep Steep and find them really handy to have in my handbag or on my bedside table. They're multi-purpose so you can use them to soothe and hydrate any dry bits like lips, cuticles etc, and they last ages. Repurchase? Yes.

Boots Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover
If you've been following my Empties posts for a while now, you'll no doubt have seen this product pop up every now and again. Not much to say really - it does the job and is acetone free so it doesn't destroy my nails! Repurchase? I'm currently trying out one from Zoya for a change - review on this will be up shortly.

De Bruyere Lait After Sun Lotion*
This sample came in a My Little Box over the summer, and I took it on holiday with me last month. I'm pretty strict with my sunscreen so rarely need to use an after sun, so I used this up as a body lotion and absolutely loved it! It's monoi fragranced and smells incredible. Repurchase? I'm not sure if anywhere in the UK sells it as it's from a French brand, but I'll definitely be on the lookout!

Jurlique Clarifying Deep Cleansing Gel
Have used this before and it's one of my favourite cleansers to use mainly in summer, though I purchased this at the end of June when it on a special offer. Lovely, refreshing, gel based cleanser with tiny natural jojoba beads for a gentle exfoliation. Great for balancing out oily skin and for keeping it clear. Repurchase? Will do next summer as I'm switching back to my balms and creamy cleansers now that it's getting colder.

Living Nature Vitality Body Oil*
I was so sad to use up the rest of this wonderful multi-purpose oil as it's amazing for using in the bath to soothe sore muscles and those monthly cramps. I imagine that the scent will definitely be a love/hate thing for most people as it's strongly herbal, but I really like it - sort of reminds me of cough tablets and cold/flu remedies, but in a good way! Repurchase? Yes.
