NOTD: Zoya - Yara

Khaki-green is more suited to the usual A/W trends, but Zoya's Yara has enough gold shimmer in it to make me want to wear it all year round.  I love this colour because I don't have anything similar to it in my collection.

Joliebox - May

My Joliebox for May has finally arrived this morning and despite my mild annoyance about the delay, the contents definitely make up for it.  In fact, I think this is one of the best boxes they've ever done!  In my Joliebox, I received:-

• Essential Care Organic Rose Moisturiser 15ml sample tube - I was happy to get this because I received one of these moisturisers in an Amarya box a while ago, but unfortunately that one wasn't for my skin type.  This one says it suits all skin types so I look forward to trying it out.
•  Talika Lipocils Expert sample - An eyelash growth treatment which sounds intriguing and easy to use, will certainly give this a go!
• China Glaze Nail Polish in Dress Me Up full size - From The Hunger Games collection, definitely my favourite item in the box, but of course that's because I love China Glaze anyway.  The shade is a pretty neutral beigey-pink and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this.
•  RMK Make Up Base sample - I saw this promoted everywhere when I was in Japan so I was really pleased to see a sample included.  Another product I'm looking forward to trying out.

June Magazine Freebies - Benefit, Ciate, Jemma Kidd, The Body Shop

This post should be entitled 'FREEBIE MANIA' or something along those lines.  The gifts being given away with magazines this month have caused a mad rush to newsagents everywhere!  Here's the haul of goodies I picked up yesterday:-

Glamour has a choice of 3 deluxe Benefit samples - The Porefessional, Bad Gal Mascara and That Gal Primer.  I picked up four copies, 1 for Bad Gal and 3 for The Porefessional.  Considering that for £2 you get 7.5ml of The Porefessional, and a full size is 22ml for £23.50, you can see why this has been flying off the shelves!

Marie Claire has a choice of 3 full size Ciate nail polishes - Jelly Bean (bright fuchsia pink with a blue undertone), Bon Bon (neutral griege shade) and Purple Sherbert (pastel lilac).  I originally told myself that I was only going to get one of these, but ended up with all three because they looked so pretty.

Red has a choice of either The Body Shop Big and Curvy Mascara or The Body Shop Eye Definer Pencils (two pack, one black, one navy).  I've tried the eyeliners before and didn't rate them much, so I opted for the mascara to try out.

In Style has a choice of either a Jemma Kidd Eyeliner Pencil or Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Volume Mascara.  Again, I opted to try out the mascara, but this time because I have enough eyeliner pencils to last me until the end of time!  Well same goes for mascara, but you can never have enough mascara right?

May Favourites

I decided to just pick make-up items for my beauty favourites of May because these are all new additions to my make-up bag that I have been reaching for constantly.  All links go to my reviews and show swatches where applicable:-

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover - I'm guessing that this is going to be in a lot of people's favourites and it really is a fab product.  I'm renaming it my 'glitter slayer' due to its magical powers that makes removing glitter polishes super easy!

MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby - This has been virtually the ONLY blush I've been wearing all month.  Blushbaby is a pretty beige-pink that is great for neutral/less is more make-up people.  Simple and understated, it's ideal for everyday wear.

Burts Bees Lip Shimmers in Watermelon and Rhubarb - Perfect for hot summer days, these lip shimmers are blissfully cooling on the lips and are really easy to wear.  Nicely moisturising too as you'd expect from Burts Bees.

Blink & Go Long Lasting Mascara - My favourite go-to waterproof mascara that simply does not budge or smudge at all.  Another summer make-up staple for me, plus it lengthens lashes like a dream.

Shiseido Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara - New HG mascara discovery!  If you can find this in the UK anywhere, I highly recommend picking one up to try out, you won't be disappointed.

Terre d'Oc Gloss Sublime Lip Gloss in Peche Panji - Have been wearing this gloss on sunny days as it looks fantastic against sunkissed skin.  Very impressed that this is an all natural product too.
