5 Mini Reviews: L'Occitane, NEOM, Rimmel, Korres & Aromatherapy Associates

Friday 12 April 2013

I set aside these samples a while ago and have only just gotten around to finishing them all up.  It's safe to say that my samples stash is in a much more manageable state these days.  I can finally close my Wonder Woman Tin properly!

(1)  L'Occitane Lavender Foaming Bath
This was so lovely to use up - a relaxing, fragrant lavender scent that didn't come across as old-fashioned or powdery in any way.  Created lots of bubbles despite only needing to use a small amount for each bath.

(2)  NEOM Organic Body Lotion in Real Luxury
Real Luxury is definitely the most appropriate name for this heavenly body lotion.  Whenever I used this, I felt incredibly pampered.  The formula is light and absorbs quickly with no greasiness.  Oh, and the scent is seriously divine!

(3)  Rimmel 9 in 1 BB Cream in Light
I was very excited to try this sample out after seeing so many good reviews of it, but unfortunately the light shade wasn't right for me.  That said, I will be swatching away the next time I'm in Boots to see if the Medium one would suit me instead because the formula itself is pretty amazing for a highstreet/drugstore BB cream.

(4)  Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream
This is a lovely eye cream for using in the mornings before applying concealer.  It gets rid of any dryness easily and feels very hydrating.  Also has SPF 6 in it which is always a bonus.

(5)  Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath & Shower Oil
AA can do no wrong in my books; all of the oils I've tried from them have been incredible with gorgeous scents.  Revive is certainly reviving and helps you feel awake first thing in the morning, which believe me, is a hard task for a sleepyhead like me!

Have you tried any of these?
What was the last beauty sample that you used up?

  3. Glad you liked the Rimmel BB Cream too! :) I expected it to be an oily mess much like the one from Garnier but it really impressed me.

    1. I didn't find the body lotion too troublesome, but I've had travel size samples of their body washes in the past and they were a NIGHTMARE to use! I think it's why lots of the full sizes seem to have pumps x
