Weekend Pampering: Organic Beauty Special

Sunday 29 September 2013

Sundays were made for pampering weren't they?  Here are my product picks for this evening's beauty affair which has an organic theme to it, to celebrate the end of Organic September.

Once a week (and usually on Sundays), I like to deep cleanse my hair with Essential Care Tea Tree & Herb Shampoo*.  This not only keeps my scalp happy and flake-free, but it also gets rid of any product build-up from the previous week that hasn't been removed by my regular shampoo.

With my hair washed and wrapped up in a turban, the real pampering can now begin.  The main focus is often on pure relaxation, so I'll light NEOM's Tranquility Candle* to set the mood which floods my tiny bathroom with the most gorgeous natural lavender and jasmine scent.  Next, I'll run a bath (not too hot) and add two tablespoons of Primavera Restoring Bath Oil in Rose & Sallow Thorn* when it's nearly full.  This is a truly luxurious bath oil that contains a blend of Organic Rosehip Seed, Organic Sallow Thorn, Organic Bergamot Organic Geranium oils plus Vitamin E, to hydrate and restore the skin to its former glory.  To say it smells incredible is an understatement.

I always take my make-up off and do a quick cleanse before having a bath, so I like to apply a facemask whilst I'm enjoying my soak.  With the change of season upon us I decided to pick one that was both hydrating and brightening, so I opted for the Bio2You Radiant Skin Mask* which is absolutely perfect.  It's a creamy formula that has Hyaluronic Acid which deeply hydrates the skin and helps to lock moisture in, as well as Organic Seabuckthorn to protect against aging and regenerate the skin.  It also has a mix of Organic herbs to soothe any irritation/inflammation, increase circulation and boost collagen formation.  In a nutshell, I leave it on for about 20 minutes, take it off with a warm muslin cloth and say hello to glowy looking skin!

Finally once I'm out of the tub and dried off, I'll apply some Organic Bloom Orange Flower Moisturising Lotion which soaks in quickly, and I'm all ready to hit the sofa in my PJs with a good book.

Do you like to indulge in a pampering evening at home during the weekend?

    1. Oddly enough it doesn't have much scent to it! It's definitely not orangey so I think the name refers more to the Orange Blossom Oil used it instead x
