Love Me Beauty Box - October 2013 review

Love Me Beauty Box* (£10 + p&p per month, link)

Do you know what I think is the most important aspect of a well done beauty box?  Variety.  And Love Me Beauty gets it right yet again.  There's a bit of make-up, haircare, skincare and a lovely bath/showertime treat included in October's three menus.  Let's take a closer look shall we?

This month I went for Menu 1 again which contains the following five products:-

Lord & Berry Smudgeproof Eyeliner in Smoke
(full size, £7.50)
I loved the Lord & Berry lip products that came in August's box, so I was happy to see some more make-up by them included again.  This eyeliner is in a gorgeous taupey dark grey shade that I can't wait to wear.  So far I've only swatched it on the back of my hand but it's stayed put for over 24 hours now so I have high hopes for it!

Lord & Berry Scuba Waterproof Mascara in Black
(full size, £12)
I'm obsessed with mascaras so I always look forward to trying new ones out, and if this is anything like the eyeliner then I'm sure it'll live up to its waterproof claims.  We shall see!  I'll be posting a proper review with swatches et al for these Lord & Berry products so keep an eye out for that.

Balm Balm Bath & Shower Oil in Balance
(5ml, £6)
I've used Balm Balm oils in the past and love them.  Quality wise they're definitely comparable to Neom and Aromatherapy Associates, but are more affordable.  Balance is a lovely blend of lavender and peppermint which helps to refocus the mind, so I'll be keeping this one handy for when I hit a writing block with my essays.  One 5ml bottle is enough for 2-3 showers or baths.

Weleda Millet Nourishing Shampoo
(travel size 18ml, full size is 190ml for £8.95)
Weleda are one of my favourite brands but I haven't tried any of their haircare range before so I'm excited to try this!  It's formulated for normal hair and contains several natural, organic ingredients such as macadamia oil to gently cleanse and nourish your locks.

Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Masks
(2 x 10ml sachets, £1.50 each)
You may have seen me raving about this face mask before as it's one of my all time favourites.  It's an incredible clay mask that deeply cleanses the skin in a matter of minutes and draws out any impurities.  I've recommended it a number of times to people who have oily/ blemish prone complexions and it's a fantastic budget buy as well.

  1. I wish this box was available in the US because I would subscribe in a heartbeat. Their packaging and products top so many other subscription boxes. Super jealous! I would love the Lord & Berry products - I really like the sleek design of them.
