October Empties / Products I've Used Up

Thursday 31 October 2013

It's Empties time again!  This month I've used up a lot of daily essentials as well as one or two pampering treats.  Here are my overall thoughts, including which ones I'll be repurchasing again in the future.

Essyta Body Moisturizing Lotion*
This bottle is a huge 250ml size so I've had it on the go for a long time.  It's a good, basic everyday body moisturiser to use in the mornings after a shower because it soaks in quickly and has a very subtle, fresh/clean scent.  The formula is 98% natural and has 22% organic ingredients included which is great and I liked how hydrating it was, whilst being light and non-greasy at the same time.  Repurchase?  I'm not sure how readily available this is in the UK with it being a French brand, but if I see it, I would certainly consider picking up another bottle.

Lavera Coconut Dream Shower Gel*
One of my favourite SLS free shower gels so I'm really sad to see this used up!  The scent is a gorgeous mix of coconut and vanilla, so if you like your shower products to be sickly sweet then this is most definitely something you'd love!  Repurchase?  Yes.

Skin Blossom Organic Bloom Gentle Cleansing Milk
Does exactly what it says on the bottle; it's a very gentle cleansing milk that leaves skin feeling soft, nourished and clean.  I liked using this either in the mornings with my konjac sponge or in the evenings as part of a double cleanse.  Repurchase?  I have a lot of cleansers to use up at the moment, but it's something I would buy again in the future.

OrhiS Nourishing Face Cream*
This was a nice face moisturiser with a pleasant floral scent.  The formula is 99.1% natural and I found that it was light and easily absorbed.  Suited my oily/combination skin well, though I did begin to use it at the start of September and have a feeling it may be too rich for my skin in the summer months.  Repurchase?  Not sure if this is available in the UK, but if I ever find myself in France I'd be tempted to pick one up to use in A/W.

Neal's Yard Remedies Bee Lovely Hand Cream
Oh it was a sad day when this finally ran out - I cut open the tube just to make sure I got every last bit out!  I absolutely love the citrusy, uplifting scent that this has and it makes my hands so soft.  Repurchase?  Definitely.

Pink's Boutique Rose Crystal Bath Soak*
I raved about these last month (here) and thoroughly enjoyed using this sample up.  The salt crystals are beautifully fragranced with natural rose essential oils and they give you the most relaxing spa like bath, perfect for a pampering treat.  Repurchase?  We'll have to see what Santa says ;)

Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask
Another long time favourite of mine, I must have gone through several of these pots now.  If your skin is prone to breakouts or reacts to the seasonal weather change, then pop into Lush and ask for a sample of this to try out.  It clears the skin up, whilst calming down any irritation or inflammation.  Repurchase?  Will do when I need it!

    1. Think of them as gentle cleansing lotions - they're creamy like milk and help to remove make-up better, whilst being more moisturising for dry/sensitive skins :)
