April Empties / Products I've Used Up

Thursday 1 May 2014

A new month already?!  I've gathered up all of my empties, so here are the products that I've finished up recently, my overall thoughts on them and whether I'll be repurchasing or not.

JASON Rosewater & Chamomile Normalizing Shampoo*
This was very gentle on my sensitive scalp and had a great scent to it.  I did find it a touch drying if I used it too often though so I'd recommend a good conditioner to use in conjunction with it if your ends and lengths are naturally dry like mine are.  Repurchase?  Probably not.

Pai Himalayan & Dead Sea Therapeutic Bath Salts
Really enjoyed using these, they were very relaxing and soothing which is just what I needed after a busy or stressful day!  Repurchase?  I can't seem to find them on sale anymore so they may have been discontinued? :(

Selexir Peace Balm* (review)
I have been rationing this out for such a long time and have been keeping it strictly for very bad dry skin emergencies.  It's amazing stuff but sadly it's also incredibly expensive.  Repurchase?  As much as I love it, it's just too pricey for my beauty budget to stretch to.

b.liv by Cellnique Glow and Shine Skin Smoothening Mask* (review)
Good 2-in-1 product that brightens the skin and exfoliates it at the same time.  I really liked it, but I don't think I love it as much as my HG Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask which is more effective for me.  Repurchase?  No.
Crazy Rumors Amaretto Lip Balm (review)
Have raved about Crazy Rumors on a number of occasions and I'm so sad to see this used up!  Tastes just like the real thing and have a brilliant natural moisturising formula.  Repurchase?  Hell yes!

Live Native Pure Native Cleansing Balm*
I featured this in my Cold Weather Beauty Routine last Winter, and have been using the last of it up on/off since the weather started to warm up.  It's a super thick cleansing balm that seriously hydrates, deeply cleanses and nourishes the skin making it ideal for dry and dehydrated skin types.  Repurchase?  Definitely would in Winter again.

Milk Shake Active Yoghurt Mask* (review)
Another like it, but didn't love it product - I liked that this hair mask gave me softer, shinier hair, but didn't love slightly extra frizz and flyaways that also came with it.  Repurchase?  No.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic* (review)
Like Cleanse & Polish, I always seem to have a bottle of Skin Tonic somewhere in my bathroom and I think this is my third bottle of it that I've finished.  It's a lovely gentle toner that soothes and refreshes, plus the bottles always seem to last a long time too.  Repurchase?  Yes.

Skin Blossom Organic Bloom Moisturising Body Lotion
Nice and simple, everyday, basic body lotion with a minimal scent.  Gets the job done and doesn't feel greasy or sticky.  Repurchase?  Yes, after I've used up some others.

What beauty products have you used up recently?

  12. I'm always impressed by the number of empties you muster whenever you make an empties post! Those Pai bath salts sound really relaxing, hopefully you can find them again and they haven't been discontinued. I'd love to try some products from the brand. The Liz Earle tonic also sounds like something I'd be interested in trying - I've only used their classic Cleanse & Polish and I'm a big fan :)

    1. I had a bit of a Spring Clean in my bathroom and found lots of stuff that was nearly empty last month, so it wasn't too hard to finish these up, though it does look like a lot! Liz Earle and Pai are lovely brands :)

  16. I've always wanted to join in with these monthly empties posts - but I never seem to finish anything other than hair shampoo and conditioners lol! I can't believe you managed to finish a lip balm, I don't think I've ever managed that in my life - I always lose them or find a new one to try!
