La Roche Posay Serozinc
Fans of covetable French skincare products have been rejoicing recently as La Roche-Posay's much talked about Serozinc finally becomes readily available in the UK via Escentual.com.  But is it worth the hype?

This is one product that I've been wanting to try out for a very, very long time but didn't due to the fact it was rather difficult to find here in the UK, other than from a couple of eBay and Amazon sellers who either sold out of their stock before I could get to it or charged ridiculous prices for postage.  But at long last, I've been able to give the most hyped blue tin in the universe a proper go thanks to Escentual.

What is it?
For those of you not familiar with Serozinc, it's basically a mattifying toner for oily skin that contains just three ingredients; Water, Sodium Chloride and most importantly, Zinc Sulphate.  That latter ingredient is the magical key to helping keep excess sebum (oil/grease) at bay, as well as preventing blemishes (and if you already have blemishes it does a good job of helping to pacify those big red angry ones by reducing the inflammation).

How to use?
So far I've been using this in the mornings after my cleanser and before serum and moisturiser.  When you spritz it onto the skin, it feels light, just like water and with no noticeable scent.  I wasn't sure if it was actually doing anything to begin with, but two weeks on and I've started to see that my t-zone is much less oily than it was before and I haven't had any other problems with it causing it dryness or anything like that.  I think it's too early for me to tell if it's working on the blemishes front, so keep an eye out for a future empties post where I'll reveal my final thoughts.

La Roche Posay Serozinc* (£8.50, 150ml) available from escentual.com

Have you tried / do you use Serozinc?
