5 Product Face: 'No Makeup' Makeup Look
Less is most definitely more when it comes to nailing that laidback 'no makeup' makeup look.  The trick is to choose only a few products to prevent overdoing it, so this look is perfect for a 5 Product Face.

(1) Concealer
Concealer is a must and a great, multi-tasking one is a valuable asset to anyone's makeup bag.  Dr Renaud BB Eyes* (3.9g, £14.50, link) ticks a lot of boxes with its 7 in 1 claims.  This jumbo pencil crayon helps to minimise those dark undereye circles, even out skin tone, and make eyes look brighter.  Not only that, but it has a surprisingly creamy formula for a pencil so it feels hydrating and is easy to blend.  Plus if your skin tone matches, this doubles up as an excellent product to use on any blemishes and redness that you may have.

(2) Base
The No Makeup Makeup look requires a light base to just even things out, anything heavier and it'll be too much.  The easiest way to achieve this is to use a mineral foundation; one of my favourites is Inika Mineral Foundation(8g, £24.85, link) which has a handy inbuilt SPF 15.  It's vegan, cruelty free, and doesn't contain any parabens, talc, mineral oils, fragrance or GM ingredients. Simply swirl a brush (Real Techniques Buffing Brush (linkworks perfectly with this) or kabuki into the powder, tap off the excess and buff into the skin for a natural looking finish.

(3) Eyes
Cheating a little here by choosing a palette (naughty!) but one good neutral eyeshadow shade is all that is needed for this look.  Pick one from something like Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette (£3.99, link), sweep it across the lids and voila - a no fuss but pretty eye look.

(4) Clear Mascara
Clear mascara is ideal for a 5 Product Face as it will give subtle definition to your lashes and keep unruly brows in check.  One of my faves is RMK Eyebrow Gel(£12, link) which will keep everything in place until you want to take your makeup off.

(5) Lips
Lastly, lips.  I've chosen a tinted lip product because they really are the easiest way to add a sheer wash of colour, whilst also keeping lips nicely hydrated.  Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner in Nobody's Baby(4g, £22, link) is the perfect light neutral pink shade and had a fantastic natural formula.

  1. More often than not I like to opt for a more natural makeup look. Its quicker in the mornings & that means I get extra time in bed. I have been loving the Collection Palettes & think they're fantastic value for money. Clear mascara is a great idea, I need to add one to my collection.

  2. Love the clear mascara to double up on lashes and brows! For my 5 product face, I used a tinted brow gel for brows and as mascara lol It kinda worked!
