Check out my previous reviews of the popular natural and cruelty-free LoveLula Beauty Box here.

Urban Veda Purifying Body Oil
Urban Veda Purifying Body Oil

I'm a big fan of the natural Ayurvedic-inspired brand, Urban Veda, and this Purifying Body Oil has actually been on my beauty wishlist for some time, so I'm thrilled to discover it in the box! With lots of gorgeous uplifting essential oils such as Organic Neem, Gotu Kola and Witch Hazel, this body oil has been formulated to purify and energise the skin.

INIKA Bold Lash Mascara
INIKA Bold Lash Mascara

Last month, LoveLula included the famous INIKA Certified Organic Matte Perfection Primer, and this month there's the bestselling Bold Lash Mascara that subscribers can try out. I've used this mascara many times over the years as it's one of the best on the market if you're looking for something that's both natural and organic. The large brush helps to create big lashes without any clumping or flaking.

Lyonsleaf Beauty Balm

Speaking of bestsellers, Lyonsleaf's Beauty Balm is loved by many and is a water-free, multi-tasking wonder! You can use this pot of 100% natural magic for just about anything; as a cleanser, moisturiser, face mask and more. Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - May 2022 review

Wednesday, 1 June 2022

Last month I made a mistake in saying that the LoveLula Beauty subscription boxes were ending, when in fact it's this May box which is the last one - oops! However, what I did say remains true and unfortunately LoveLula has now discontinued the subscription boxes, due to Covid and Brexit factors which are making it difficult to obtain large quantities of fresh products in a timely manner.

Don't worry though - there are brand new themed beauty boxes coming from LoveLula soon which will be available to purchase on an ad hoc, one-off basis throughout the year so keep your eyes peeled!

So let's now take a look at the last ever LoveLula Beauty Box (*sob*) which contains all of the following products.

PHB Ethical Beauty Balance Moisturiser

I've tried a couple of things from PHB Ethical Beauty and really like their natural and organic formulas. This soothing moisturiser helps to restore harmony to your skin, whilst nourishing it and boosting radiance. The rebalancing formula also helps to protect against environmental damage and is perfect for oily skin that's prone to acne and blemishes. With summer on its way where I find my combination skin tends to get much oilier at this time of the year, this sounds like the ideal moisturiser for me!

Inika Certified Organic Matte Perfection Primer

A makeup prepping classic in the green beauty world, Inika's bestselling Certified Organic Matte Perfection Primer has been a staple in my makeup bag for many years so I'm thrilled to have another one to add to my stash. It has a lovely lightweight formula that sinks into the skin without clogging pores, and allows your makeup to glide effortlessly over the top for a flawless finish.

Balm Balm Little Miracle Rosehip Serum

Made from 100% organic natural ingredients, this little beauty gem from Balm Balm is a miracle serum for people who might not already be used to having a serum in their skincare routines. A beautifully rich blend of Rosehip, Jojoba and Borage Oils are generously infused with Frankincense, Rose Geranium, Palmarosa, Juniper and Mandarin essential oils to feed and nourish the skin. It's great for helping to even out skin texture too.

Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Organic Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil

Looking for a face oil that will transform dry and mature skin types? Look no further, Ooh! Oils Of Heaven's Organic Argan Moisture Retention Face Oil is your personal skin saviour! Made with cold-pressed Argan Oil, this facial treatment is rich in Vitamin E and essential fatty acids to give your skin everything it needs to regenerate tissue and keep everything nicely hydrated.

Dr Jackson's Skincare Samples

New to LoveLula.com, here you can sample two of Dr Jackson's skincare samples; the Night Cream and Everyday Oil.

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - August 2021 review

Thursday, 26 August 2021

This month's LoveLula Beauty Box is worth a whopping £71 and features a mix of high-end, green beauty brands. I always love the variation in these subscription boxes! Curious to find out more? Here's a rundown of all the products inside.

Terre Verdi Balancing Mist (RRP £9)

A refreshing facial mist is always a winner during the summer months and they don't come much more revitalizing than this Balancing Mist from Terre Verdi. It contains lots of lovely skin-calming anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties which makes it a handy skincare hero for problematic complexions.

Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Blackcurrant Face Oil (RRP £19)

Another useful skin soother is this wonderful Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Blackcurrant Face Oil. I imagine most skin types will love this, but it's particularly beneficial for helping with uneven skin tones and for reducing any inflammation or flare-ups. A clever miracle worker thanks to the high antioxidant content of those superstar blackcurrants.

Butterwhips Warmly Relaxing Body Butter (RRP £18)

I'm a big fan of Butterwhips, having previously reviewed them a few months ago, so I was really happy to discover a big tin of their bestselling Warmly Relaxing Body Butter. The texture of this body butter has a lovely thick, rich, typically whipped allure that simply melts into the skin, delivering intense moisture. I'll be saving this to use during winter when my body feels drier as it's very moisturising!

INIKA Lip & Cheek Cream in Morning (RRP £25)

The star of this month's box for me personally is this gorgeous INIKA Lip & Cheek Cream in the shade Morning. It has a silky-soft formula that blends easily into cheeks for a healthy flush of colour and adds a simple dewy finish to lips. Fuss-free makeup at its finest and excellent quality as always from INIKA

Green Beauty: Lovelula Beauty Box - April 2021 review

Wednesday, 28 April 2021

One of my favourite online retailers, LoveLula, offer a popular monthly subscription box that's packed full of natural, organic and green beauty products from a wide range of brands. If you're looking for something that ticks all of these boxes, check it out!

Here's what's inside this month's box which is worth £59:-

J.R.Liggett's Mini Shampoo Bar Set (RRP £12.99)

Solid shampoo bars are a great way to reduce the amount of plastic waste in your bathroom and if you haven't found the 'one' just yet, this brilliant Mini Shampoo Bar Set from J.R.Liggett's will be sure to help you find the right one for your hair type. The set contains six different formulas for you to try out or why not share them out with friends and family to encourage them to make the switch?

Ooh! Oils Of Heaven Jojoba Oil (RRP £19)

A lovely new product release from Ooh! Oils Of Heaven, this is made from simply 100% natural and organic Jojoba Oil which closely mimics the skin's own sebum. It's perfect for a variety of uses such as a facial oil treatment for acne-prone and oily skin, as well as a hair and scalp treatment to encourage healthy hair growth.

INIKA Long Lash Mascara (RRP £23)

Perhaps one of the bestselling natural and organic mascaras on the market, INIKA's Long Lash Mascara has numerous fans and once you try it for yourself, it's easy to see why! The pure, mineral-enriched formula is ideal for sensitive eyes and coats lashes without any clumping, flaking or smudging. It's suitable for vegans, cruelty-free and works a treat.

Crazy Rumors Black Cherry Lip Balm (RRP £3.99)

The last product in this month's LoveLula Beauty Box is the almost good enough to eat Black Cherry Lip Balm from Crazy Rumors. 100% natural and vegan-friendly, this lip balm is deliciously fruity and super moisturising - in fact, I've just used one up which you'll see in my next Empties round-up.

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - September 2020 review

Wednesday, 23 September 2020

LoveLula's latest Beauty Box is crammed full of green beauty goodies and with a total value of over £60, it's a bargain too! This month's box features mainly skincare with a little makeup, and everything is happily cruelty-free.

Here's what's inside:-

AYUMI Glow Tumeric & Papaya Glycolic Acid Toner (RRP £6.99)
This budget-friendly facial toner from AYUMI is inspired by Ayurveda and includes a special blend of proven plant-based actives and natural ingredients to help you get your glow back. Infused with brightening extracts of Tumeric, Amla and Papaya, plus soothing Aloe Vera, it uses natural Glycolic Acid to gently remove dull and dead skin cells on the surface to reveal brighter and younger-looking skin underneath. An easy addition to your daily morning or evening skincare routine!

Dr Botanicals Hemp Moisturiser (RRP £15.99)
With two hard-working key ingredients of Hemp Seed Oil and Cocoa Butter, Dr Botanicals Hemp Moisturiser is a simple but effective product to help your skin feel hydrated and smooth all day long. I love Hemp-based products like this as I find it works so well for sensitive skin like mine, so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Madara Smart Anti-Pollution Charcoal & Mud Repair Mask (travel size)
Oh, I was very happy to see this! I'm a huge fan of using charcoal and clay-based face masks to keep spots and breakouts at bay, and I've used this one from Madara in the past with great results. If you feel that your skin is congested and feels 'bumpy' underneath the surface, this facial treatment will help to draw everything out in just 5 minutes. Highly recommended for 'maskne' too!

INIKA Mineral Mattifying Powder (RRP £23)
If you read last month's LoveLula Beauty box review, you'll know that they included a primer from INIKA and this month sees another fantastic full-size makeup product from the luxury Australian brand - a Mineral Mattifying Powder. This translucent loose powder provides a naturally matte finish to your makeup look and can be used over the top of any foundation, regardless of whether it's a liquid or mineral powder.

Urban Veda Reviving Renewal Night Cream (travel size)
Finally, the last product is a travel size sample of Urban Veda Reviving Renewal Night Cream which helps to replenish and hydrate most skin types with natural ingredients that include Rose extract, Organic Pomegranate and Rosehip.

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - August 2020 review

Saturday, 29 August 2020

Like a Christmas gift to yourself every month, beauty subscription boxes continue to be popular and if you're looking for one that's cruelty-free and full of natural and organic beauty products, why not give LoveLula a try?

This month's LoveLula Beauty Box is worth a whopping £70 which makes it one of the best value-for-money beauty boxes that I've seen online throughout August! Here's a rundown of what's inside:-

Madara Plant Stem Cell Age-Defying Sunscreen SPF 30 (10ml sample, full-size RRP £29)

I love trying out different sunscreens and I'm very excited to test out this Plant Stem Cell Age-Defying Sunscreen SPF 30 from Madara as I love their skincare range. This is a really interesting sunscreen as it has some cellular biology/science research behind it which uses plant-based stem cells to help protect the skin from premature ageing. The broad-spectrum protection and the 'invisible' finish make it even more appealing.

FOM London Anti Pollution Face Cleansing Cream (30ml travel size)

Another high-end natural skincare product that I'm excited to see in the box is the FOM London Anti Pollution Face Cleansing Cream as I've used the serum from this particular range in the past and I loved that. This is a hydrating cream formula which helps to remove pollution and impurities from the skin, and it also takes off makeup and gently exfoliates at the same time. It's great to see a travel size product like this in a glass bottle as well.

Laidbare Glow Facial Self Tanner (RRP £12)

You just can't go wrong with anything from Laidbare and I've had the pleasure of trying their Glow Facial Self Tanner in the past with great results. Suitable for all skin types, it gives a lovely sunkissed and very natural looking finish to the skin, without any scary orange tones and it's easy to apply as it goes on like a regular facial moisturiser. Top tip - if you have a light olive complexion like mine, you'll probably want to follow up with a second application 24 hours later for a slightly darker tan finish.

INIKA Pure Perfection Primer (RRP £35)

Last but not least, the star of this month's box (well for me personally!), is this full-size Pure Perfection Primer from the high-end Australian natural and organic brand INIKA. If you've been following my blog for a while now, you'll no doubt know that I'm a huge fan of INIKA and regularly use their mineral makeup. Their Pure Perfection Primer is one of the best natural primers that I've used and it has 83% organic ingredients which is pretty impressive to say the least! It's very nourishing thanks to skin-friendly ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid and Jojoba Oil, plus it features the interesting Kangaroo Paw extract which is a natural plant-based active that's been clinically proven in studies to improve the overall texture of the skin.

Green Beauty: LoveLula Beauty Box - May 2020 review

Wednesday, 20 May 2020

LoveLula Beauty Box - May 2020 review
Worth over £50, this month's LoveLula Beauty Box has something for everyone with makeup, haircare, skincare and more! Everything included is cruelty-free and it's a great way to try out a high-end brand or a new product without breaking the bank. Curious to find out more? Keep on scrolling to discover what's inside.

INIKA Organic Lip Crayon in Deep Plum (RRP £19.50)
Being a make-up junkie, I always look forward to receiving cosmetics in the LoveLula Beauty Box and I was thrilled to find this full-size chunky Lip Crayon from INIKA. I've had the pleasure of trying out a lot of makeup from INIKA and they are one of those green beauty brands that I regularly use - you can check out my previous reviews of their makeup here

This Lip Crayon is a gorgeous plum shade which is very flattering on and I imagine it will suit most skin tones too. The creamy formula means that it doesn't drag onto the lips and it's made from 100% natural ingredients, plus it's certified vegan and cruelty-free.

The Castillian Soap Company Natural Hand Sanitiser in Peppermint & Chamomile (RRP £9.50)
With hand sanitiser being in hot demand, I was incredibly grateful to receive another one of these Natural Hand Sanitisers from The Castillian Soap Company. I recently featured it in my Good Hand Hygiene post here and love the refreshing minty fragrance it has. It gets the job done and doesn't leave hands feeling dry or sticky.

Ayumi Naturals Hibiscus & Turmeric Shampoo (RRP £6.99)
The face scrub from this same range appeared in February's box (check out my review here if you missed it) so it's nice to try out this Hibiscus & Turmeric Shampoo as I haven't used anything from Ayumi Naturals' haircare range before. This one's described as being suitable for fine and dull hair types thanks to the brightening natural properties of Turmeric and Papaya extracts which sounds interesting.

Skin Alchemists Humble Warrior Cleansing Oil (RRP £15)
The last product in this month's LoveLula Beauty Box is a deluxe 30ml sample of Skin Alchemists Humble Warrior Cleansing Oil which is a new-to-me brand that I'm excited to try. Formulated to remove all traces of makeup and daily grime, this deep cleansing oil can also be used as a natural face mask, hair treatment and as a nail and cuticle oil - you guys know how much I love a multipurpose beauty product!

LoveLula Beauty Box - April 2020 review
This month's LoveLula Beauty Box is worth £57 and April's edit will definitely appeal to anyone who loves their clean, natural and organic skincare! Here's a rundown of the contents:-

John Masters Organics Lip Calm (RRP £7)
I'm a lip balm addict and have used this brilliant Lip Calm from John Masters Organics in the past. It's a great all-in-one, twist-up lip balm treatment that intensely moisturises and protects and it has a lovely, relaxing scent to it. If you find some natural lip balms too hard or waxy, try this one as it melts into the lips easily.

Madara Hyaluronic Collagen Booster Ampoules (RRP £29.30)
The star of this month's box for me is this new formula box of Hyaluronic Collagen Booster Ampoules from Madara which are worth nearly £30 on their own. Each ampoule is filled with a targeted serum that's packed full of Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen to help address fine lines, wrinkles, very dry and tight skin by hydrating and improving the overall texture of your skin. Use them underneath your favourite moisturiser day or night to give your routine a real boost!

LoveLula Beauty Box - April 2020 review
Ayumi Neem & Tea Tree Body Wash (RRP £6.99)
Funnily enough, I'm currently testing out the matching soap from Ayumi's Neem & Tea Tree Body Wash at the moment for an upcoming blog post so I have a feeling I'm going to get on well with this body wash! I'm a huge fan of anything Ayurveda inspired, and the combination of Neem & Tea Tree is a fresh and invigorating sensation that I know I'm going to enjoy.

Nature's Kitchen Berry Beautiful Skin Polish (RRP £12.99)
Next up, I found another full-size skincare treat, this time from Nature's Kitchen. Their Berry Beautiful Skin Polish uses natural Bamboo Cane and Red Berry Fruit extracts to gently buff away dull, dead skin cells for a smoother result.

INIKA Phytofuse Renew Resveratrol Eye Cream (sample)
To round off this month's LoveLula Beauty Box, there's an assortment of INIKA skincare sachet samples which have been included and I was pleased to receive the Phytofuse Renew Resveratol Eye Cream to try out as I haven't used it before. Thanks LL!

SUN.DAY Of London Natural Botanical Mini Candle in VI céleste
Candle Lovers: SUN.DAY Of London Natural Botanical Mini Candle in Céleste (£12, link)

SUN.DAY Of London is a new brand that I was recently introduced to who specialises in handcrafted botanical home fragrances, so naturally, I had to include one of their gorgeous Natural Botanical Candles in this gift guide. Available in a range of enticing scents and in three sizes (midi, extra large and mini), these candles are made from just a blend of pure and natural Coconut Wax and aromatherapy Essential Oils, packaged in glass and finished with a cotton wick. Lastly, I wanted to include these brand new Organic Sheet Masks that Lavera have recently brought out.
