May Empties: Products I've Used Up

Sunday 31 May 2015

It's my favourite time of the month when my blog feed erupts with everyone's empties posts!  Here are the products that I've used up recently, my thoughts on them and whether I will be repurchasing them or not.

Dr Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Hair Treatment Serum
This is my second bottle and one of my favourite hair products for taming frizz.  It's excellent to use when blow-drying and straightening to get your hair super sleek and shiny.  A little goes a very long way so one of these bottles usually lasts me about a year!  Repurchase?  Yes.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
One of those skincare staples that I always have in my bathroom, I've lost count of how many of these I've gone through over the years.  I mainly use it a make-up remover when I'm wearing full coverage foundation as it takes everything off, including waterproof mascara.  Magical stuff. Repurchase?  Already have!

LUSH Whoosh Shower Jelly
I'd say this is one of LUSH's hidden gems as I don't hear it mentioned much.  It's a wonderfully uplifting and refreshing shower gel in a jelly format.  Just pull off a piece, smoosh into your loofah and away you go.  Repurchase?  Will do once I've used up some other shower gels.

S5 Purity Serum*
If you have blemish prone skin, then you have to try out this serum.  Seriously one of the best targeted treatments I've tried.  It feels really gentle but works wonders with healing blemishes and preventing new breakouts.  Repurchase?  Yes.
OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener
I've used this as my regular base coat for years and it's brilliant.  Does what it says on the bottle and helps to stop nails from breaking.  Repurchase?  Not yet as I'm using up a Nail HQ Strengthener at the moment.

Lavera All Round Cream
One of my favourite multi-purpose moisturisers for body, hands and feet, again I've gone through a couple of tins of these over the years and still love it.  Excellent for anyone who has dry and sensitive skin that needs some TLC.  Repurchase?  Yes.

Odylique Calendula Balm*
Just a travel size pot that I've had in my handbag for a while, this is very concentrated and perfect for any dry areas like cuticles, lips, elbows, heels etc.  Also amazing for eczema flareups too. Repurchase?  Not yet as I'm using up a huge tub of Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream which is a similar product.

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm
So this has lasted me just over a year of almost daily use as I put it on before going to bed.  One of my holy grail lip balms and one that I simply can't recommend enough.  Repurchase?  As much as I want to run out and pick up another one, I have to be sensible and use up some of my huge lip balm stash first :(

Tisserand Lavender Walk Perfume Roll On*
I enjoyed using this aid before bed, just dabbing a little on my wrists to help me to sleep.  I'm a big fan of lavender anyway and always find it helps to relax me.  Repurchase?  I'm using a pillow spray from Blended Therapies instead at the moment.

What beauty products have you used up recently?

P.S Have you entered my current giveaway to win a Lyonsleaf Giftset?

  1. I wish you hadn't pointed me in the direction of the S5 Purity Serum... my purse just weeped a little inside.

    1. I know, I always feel the same when I see the pricetag! If it's any consolation, a bottle lasts a very long time - I've had that one on the go for well over 6 months as you only need to use 1-2 drops for each application so not too bad really! x

  2. Yay, I love empties posts!
I love the scent of Lush's Whoosh, I just can't deal with the jelly texture.
I've heard so many good things about Liz Earle's cleansers, I'll have to try one out!

    1. I quite like the jelly texture (I'm a big kid at heart lol!) but would love to have that same scent in a regular shower gel - I think more people would buy it that way. The Liz Earle cleanser is fab, definitely try it! x

  3. Don't be sensible, repurchase the NUXE <3 It's amazing!
Can't beat the Cleanse and Polish, I always manage to acquire a bottle of it during winter as it seems to keep my skin in check during the cold months :)

    1. Aww thanks! I always enjoy reading yours too :) Oh I know that lip balm addiction feeling - so hard to justify purchasing one when you already have a huge stash of others! I really want to pick up the REN Vita Mineral Lip Balm that's free with one of the magazine's this month but I've told myself no :( xx
