The Vegan Kind Lifestyle Box - March 2016 review #TVK29
My TVK box arrived earlier this week so it's time for an unboxing review! Here's a rundown of all of the yummy products that were included this time around.

The Foods of Athenry - Cookie Shots Bite Size Brownie Biscuits (120g, £2.95)
The largest item this month was this substantial bag of the most delicious 'Cookie Shots'. These are gluten free, wheat free and dairy free so lots of people can enjoy them. They're essentially mini chocolate flavoured biscuits, but we're talking about a very intense natural cocoa flavour here! Crunchy and moreish, it's safe to say that there aren't too many of these left in the bag anymore...

 ConsiderIt Chocolate Cream Egg (£1.90)
With Easter around the corner, I was hoping that there would be a cheeky chocolate egg related product included in this month's box, and of course, TVK did not disappoint! This is a handmade vegan creme egg from one of my favourite dairy-free chocolate brands, ConsiderIt. Absolutely delicious and I liked how it wasn't as sickly sweet as Cadburys.

Hectares Ren Onion and Black Pepper Sweet Potato Crisps (35g, £1)
I'm a big fan of sweet potato crisps and enjoyed trying out this bag from Hectares with a sandwich earlier this week. Very crunchy, not greasy and full of flavour - the Black Pepper really added a little kick! I'd definitely purchase these again.

Wheaty Red Hot Chili Pepper Spacebar (£1.20)
Although I'm not vegan, I am cutting down my meat consumption a lot and I've virtually stopped eating processed meats after the links to things like Bowel Cancer became apparent recently. I have been missing things like sausages and pepperoni though, so I was happy to see a vegan alternative in this form of a Spacebar in the box. This is mainly made from naturally smoked organic seitan and it's pretty good! Spicy with a good texture, I think this would taste even better warmed up a little on pizza or in a pasta dish.

 Soypresso (£2.19)
I popped this in the fridge to chill before trying it out and it tasted oh-so good. A good quality coffee that's blended with creamy soy milk. Organic too - this gets a big thumbs up from me.

At the bottom of the box were two lifestyle products from The Vegan Kind - a fridge magnet (£2.50) and a sticker (£1.50). I think the pricing of these two are quite high as I personally would have preferred another product (either edible or beauty related) instead, but I'm more than happy with everything else included.

There's also the monthly recipe card (this time for Carrot Cake Macaroons - yum!) and 10p from each box will be donated to the Special Needs Older Rabbits Sanctuary.

To find out more about The Vegan Kind, visit their website here. £10 + p&p each month in the UK, with worldwide shipping options available.

  1. It sucks that the P&P for international is so high, because I'm from Europe too (not UK, but Croatia) and I'd love to try out some brand new vegan goodies. But for the price of it, I can just walk into my local bio store and grab a handful of vegan snacks I never tried before. And the beauty box is for UK only. :( :rant over: :D

    1. That's such a shame but I can relate - I've been looking at some similar boxes from the US and Canada who offer international shipping to the UK and it just makes it unaffordable for me :( Hopefully something similar starts up in Croatia for you! x
