Introducing: Zuii Organic - Flora Gradual Tan Face Water, Dry Oil Tan Extender & Self-Tanning Foam review

Zuii Organic - Flora Gradual Tan Face Water, Dry Oil Tan Extender & Self-Tanning Foam review
Self-tanning is the safest way to get a gorgeous glow this Spring and if you want a more natural and organic option, Zuii Organic has a full range of cruelty-free and vegan-friendly self-tanning products which deliver pro results.

I was recently introduced to Zuii Organic via LoveLula who is one of the brand's UK stockists. Since trying this trio of products from them, I've been pretty smitten as I've been looking for a brand like this for a while now! Made in Australia, Zuii Organic offers a wide variety of self-tanning products which include face and body tanners in a range of different formulas; body care, tanning accessories and some makeup in the shape of highlighters and bronzers. Everything is Cosmos Certified Organic, cruelty-free and suitable for vegans to use, and Zuii's main goal is to develop products that have natural, organic and sustainable ingredients which is why this brand appeals so much to me.

I've tested out a couple of products to introduce you to Zuii Organic, and I'm sure that after you've read this post, you'll be wanting to try them out for yourself!

Zuii Organic - Flora Gradual Tan Face Water, Dry Oil Tan Extender & Self-Tanning Foam review
Zuii Organic Flora Gradual Tan Face Water* (150ml, £22.50, link)
It can be tempting to want to use the same self-tanning product that you use for your body on your face, but don't! In my many years of experimenting with countless tanning brands and products, I've found that most body self-tanners can block pores and cause breakouts if you use them on your face, so it's always best to stick with a dedicated facial self-tanner. The good news is that lots of brands these days include some really great anti-ageing and general skincare benefits in theirs, and Zuii Organic's Flora Gradual Tan Face Water is no exception.

Formulated with Fern Extract, Lichen and Bulbine Extract to hydrate the skin and improve elasticity, this Gradual Tan Face Water basically feels like a regular toner and you can apply a few drops to your hands and massage it in or apply with a cotton pad/round which is what I prefer to do. It doesn't have any tint or colour to it, but a subtle and realistic looking tan gradually develops for a healthy, glowy complexion with not a hint of orange in sight! I love how quickly this absorbs and it smells really nice and fresh.

Zuii Organic Flora Self Tanning Foam* (30ml sample shown, full size is 200ml for £32.95, link)
Foam is always my formula of choice when it comes to self-tanning for my body and it's a good option to try if you're new to tanning as it's virtually foolproof to apply. Zuii Organic's Flora Self Tanning Foam comes in three different shades, Light, Medium and Ultra Dark, and I tried out a tester of the Ultra Dark. Packed with Bamboo Juice, Grape Skin Extract and Raw Cacao, this self-tanning foam is super easy to work with when applied with a tanning mitt and I didn't have any problems with it going streaky or patchy. It develops quickly and can be rinsed off as soon as two hours after application, however, I would recommend leaving it on for at least 6 hours or overnight for the darkest results (you can also apply a second layer after two hours if you want to go even darker).

I love the colour of this and it definitely works well with my light olive skin and dark hair, so you may want to try one of the other shades if you're paler. There's no typical 'fake tan/biscuit' smell which I know puts a lot of people off trying self-tanning products, and instead, there's a pleasant, subtle fresh floral scent. This tanner lasted on me around 3-4 days before it started to fade, so it's not as long as some mainstream brands, but as the ingredients are much better, I don't mind too much and the product below can help it stay put further.

Zuii Organic Dry Oil Tan Extender* (100ml, £22.50, link)
Doing what it says it will do on the bottle, Zuii Organic's Dry Oil Tan Extender is an additional product that you can use to help lengthen the lifespan of your tan. Like the others in this range, it smells lovely and features a whole host of nourishing and hydrating ingredients such as Bamboo Juice, Sweet Almond Oil, Camelia Seed Oil and Cocoa Seed Butter. A little of this dry oil goes a long way to moisturise your skin, locking in the colour for longer - a holiday must-have!

Love Me Beauty - May 2017 review
May's Love Me Beauty order has arrived, and it's seriously getting me in the mood for the summer holidays, with a great range of travel size minis that are up for grabs this month.

One of my favourite things about beauty boxes is the ability to 'try before you buy', especially when it comes to exploring more higher end and luxury brands. There's nothing worse than spending your hard-earned cash on a new product and then quickly realising that it doesn't work for your skin type, which is why I love samples and travel sizes so much. They also come in handy of course for travelling with and are particularly useful when you're flying with just hand luggage and need to keep within those tricky liquid restrictions.

This month's Love Me Beauty edit is called #ShineBright, and is packed full of beauty minis that are all under the 100ml liquid restrictions, so it's well worth a look if you have a holiday coming up! I'm really happy to see skincare minis from NUXE, Ultrasun, Aromatherapy Associates, and there are also makeup minis from Manna Kadar Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury and Kat Von D available too.

Each month, you get 60 credits to spend on whatever you fancy and you can purchase add-on credits if you see more products that you'd like to get your hands on. Below are just a handful of some of the products that you can purchase with your credits in this month's new #ShineBright edit.
Love Me Beauty - May 2017 review
NUXE Reve de Miel Cleanser (15ml travel size - 10 credits)
Remember when every blogger was obsessed with NUXE's Reve de Miel lip balm? I certainly was (you can read my previous rave review of it here), and still am, so I'm looking forward to trying out this cleanser from the same range. It's described as a gentle soap-free cleanser that also doubles up as a makeup remover, and it's infused with Honey, Coconut Oil and Sunflower Seed Oil to be kind on dry and sensitive skin types.

NUXE Gentle Exfoliating Gel (15ml travel size - 10 credits)
If you have sensitive skin and are looking for a gentle but effective exfoliator to help clear up any congested areas that you many have, this one from NUXE is a great one to try. It comes in a lovely and refreshing gel format with lots of fine scrubby bits to buff away dead skin cells, leaving your complexion brighter and smoother after just one use. I've used this before in the past and loved it!

NUXE Huile Prodiguese (10ml travel size - 10 credits)
Huile Prodiguese is one of my absolute favourite products from NUXE and I've gone through countless bottles of it over the years. It's one of the best multi-purpose dry oils on the market and it smells amazing! You can use this on the face and body to add hydration wherever you need it and it also works well on your hair as a leave-in conditioning treatment and to tame any flyaways. A little goes a long way so this mini bottle will last you a good while.

Manna Kadar Beauty Liplock Stain in Shae (1.5g travel size - 20 credits)
I hadn't heard of Manna Kadar Beauty before but they're a popular Californian cosmetics brand that are better known in the US. This Liplock Stain is highly pigmented like a liquid lipstick, yet feels hydrating and has a glossy finish like a lipgloss. I have the shade Shae which is a really pretty light neutral pink that looks great for everyday wear - a new handbag favourite for sure!

The Body Shop Mango Beautifying Oil* (100ml, £9, link)

Multi-purpose products always make me happy because I feel like you get a lot more bang for your buck (and truth be told, I can be pretty lazy with beauty stuff when I'm running late in the mornings!), so I was excited to try out one of the Beautifying Oils from The Body Shop.

Tried & Tested: No7 Pampering Dry Oil Body Spray

Wednesday, 15 February 2012

Photobucket

Having accumulated a couple of those £5 off No7 vouchers since Christmas, I finally decided to spend one and picked up the Pampering Dry Oil Body Spray. I love oils probably more than lotions, and this one appealed to me with its handy spray on applicator. It has Almond Oil and Vitamin E in it to nourish and soften the skin, as well as fragrant notes of Vanilla and Ylang Ylang. When I spritzed a little in the shop, the scent was quite light and fresh, but I seriously underestimated how strong it would be when sprayed all over the body! That said, although it's quite a heady perfumed scent, it's one that I would maybe choose to use before going out at night. Formula-wise, the oil is a fine, light, mist that soaks into the skin straight away and without any greasy residue. I wouldn't say it's as moisturising as other body oils I've tried like Weleda's Regenerating Pomegranate Body Oil, but of course it isn't a thick oil and I think the main purpose is mainly to fragrance the skin with a light amount of moisturising going on. Would I buy it at full price? Probably not, but it's certainly worth it to try out when you have a £5 off voucher, which made this 200ml bottle £3.75.

What have you been buying with your No7 vouchers?
