SAMAYA Kapha Hydrating Cleanser & Anti-Ageing Cream review
Late last year I raved about a wonderful facial oil that featured in my October Favourites from a luxury natural brand called SAMAYA. To trial more of a complete skincare routine from them, I decided to try out the cleanser and moisturiser from the same range, which I've been using for just over five weeks now.

SAMAYA are a skincare brand who are all about products that create the right balance for your skin, and your overall health and wellbeing. Their all-natural formulas are based upon Ayurvedic principles, which use specially selected herbs and natural ingredients to balance your 'dosha'. There's a huge amount of literature available online that goes into more detail about Ayurveda and Doshas, but this video on Youtube here, sums up the very basics about the different Dosha types in relation to your body and personality traits. With regards to matching this up with how it can help you to understand your skin type, you can take a little quiz on SAMAYA's website to find out your Dosha here.

Mine has been identified as 'Kapha' and this was a perfect match as it covers skin types which are oily/combination, and that have a tendency to get clogged pores/breakouts when their skin and health is out of balance. As I mentioned earlier, I've been currently using SAMAYA's Kapha Anti-Ageing Treatment Oil with good results, so I was curious to try out the matching cleanser and moisturiser.

SAMAYA Kapha Hydrating Cleanser* (100ml, £69, link)
SAMAYA's packaging is beautifully luxe, with its simple and elegantly clean and crisp, white frosted glass bottles, and I'm pleased to say that the contents are just as beautiful. I've been using the Hydrating Cleanser in the mornings, and it has a wonderful silky texture that's easy to massage into the skin. There's a whole range of natural ingredients included, ranging from the well known such as Aloe Vera (antibacterial, soothing), Sandalwood (astringent, antimicrobial) and Frankincense Oils (purifying), to more exotic herbs like Ashwagandha Root (known as Indian Ginseng) and Gotu Kola Oil (anti-flammatory). Each ingredient adds its own benefit to the cleanser, which leaves my skin feeling thoroughly clean and refreshed, but without being tight or stripped afterwards. I've also used on occasion in the evenings, and it will happily remove the majority of my makeup in one sweep with a muslin cloth or flannel. Though I do feel it's just too nice to use as a makeup remover alone, so it's definitely more of a morning luxury for me.

SAMAYA Kapha Anti-Ageing Cream* (50ml, £89, link)
The matching face moisturiser features a lot of the same ingredients that form the core of this Kapha range, and it shares the same natural scent which is fresh, herbal and quite earthy. The moisturiser has a lovely consistency that absorbs easily into the skin, and it instantly smoothes and hydrates like a dream - great for using in the morning before applying makeup. It is very moisturising though, so a little definitely goes a long way. I think this may be too heavy for me to use during the Summer months, but during this cold wintry weather, my skin has been lapping it up!

Summary: If you've got the cash to splash and you're into Ayurvedic skincare, I have no doubt that you'll love SAMAYA's products, and will find them a worthy investment to your skincare routine.

Do you use any Ayurvedic products?

Shopping The Sales - January Wishlist
The January sales are still in full swing, with lots of brands offering extra last minute discounts on their sales items. With this in mind, I've compiled a little wishlist showcasing some fashion and beauty bargains that I'd love to snap up!

1. A trench coat is a classic for a reason. It always looks smart, and will never, ever go out of style. This one from First & I is the perfect colour, and looks equally great thrown over office/work wear for everyday, or a casual jeans and jumper combo at the weekend. Available from ASOS - on sale for £28 (link).

2. Stay stylish during the cold weather with a high neck, midi length jumper dress like this one from Pretty Little Thing. Like the trench coat, it works well for chic office wear with tights, or you can dress it down with a leather biker jacket and some grungey lace up boots. On offer for a bargain £8 (link).

3. Treat yourself to some new makeup brushes! There are lots of Lottie London brushes on offer over at LookFantastic, including this Flawless Base Brush for £6 (link).

4. Bags are something that I always try to pick up in the sales as you can get some awesome discounts if you shop at the right times. I instantly fell in love when I first saw this Woven Beatrice Tote Bag in Grey from Kurt Geiger, and it's now in the sale for £75, down from its original price of £250 (link). What a beauty!

5. If you're doing Veganuary and want to expand the concept into your makeup, check out Inika who are one of my favourite cruelty-free, vegan-friendly makeup brands. Their mineral eyeshadows are currently half-price at LookFantastic for £7.97 (link)

6. Luxury makeup fans can bag some excellent bargains at the moment. Check out these Clarins Jolie Rouge Lipsticks that have 70% off, making them a cheap-as-chips £5.99 each over on FragranceDirect (link)

7. Lastly, channel your inner 90s self with this cosy grey jumper dress from New Look - reduced to just £7 (link). Pair with a black beanie and choker as styled, and you're good to go!

*I found all of these bargains via LoveTheSales.com which sources all the best sales online and rounds them up in one place. Super handy for thrifty shoppers! All wishlist picks my own as always :)

Have you bought anything in the January sales this year?

Look Incredible Beauty Box - January 2017 review
Bored of getting little samples in your beauty box every month? Want luxury products for a bargain price? Look Incredible is the beauty box for you!

Look Incredible are a popular online retailer who I'm sure you've probably already heard of before. They stock a huge range of well-known beauty brands (think Benefit, Becca, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Make Up For Ever etc), and they frequently have some excellent offers and sales going on - let's face it, who doesn't love a bargain?! They also offer a monthly beauty box (available in Standard or Deluxe), which contains only full-sized products, and features products from the brands that they sell on their website.

As much as I love receiving cute travel sized minis in beauty subscription boxes, it can start to get a bit tedious after a while, and for products like skincare, it's always nice to get a proper amount to fully test out instead of just a tiny foil sachet. Don't get me wrong, I'll always love a good miniature, but do you know what I love more? A big, full-size product! Well, they do say bigger is better...!

Below are the contents of Look Incredible's Standard Beauty Box for this month, to give you an idea of what you can expect from them:-
bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Eyeshadow in Delicate Moss
bareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Advanced Eyeshadow in Delicate Moss (RRP £18)
This cream eyeshadow from bareMinerals boasts an impressive 5-in-1 benefits formula that contains SPF 15, and can be used as an eyelid primer, concealer, brightener, and eyeshadow. I received the shade 'Delicate Moss' which is a pale, neutral toned mossy colour with a touch of shimmer. Works really well as a primer, and I like it as a base shade for a neutral smokey eye. It's long lasting with a silky/velvety formula, and I haven't had any issues with creasing or anything like that.
Rosie for Autograph Dream Big Lashes
Rosie for Autograph Dream Big Lashes (RRP £15)
I've had the pleasure of trying a couple of pieces from Rosie Huntington-Whitely's cosmetics collaboration with M&S' Autograph range, and I've loved virtually everything. I've been meaning to get my hands on her mascara so I was thrilled to see it included in this month's box! Can't wait to try it and I love the rose gold packaging.
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator
Bee Good Honey & Camelina Facial Exfoliator (RRP £10.50)
I've mentioned this amazing exfoliator from Bee Good on here several times, and I still use it on a regular basis. It's got a lovely and creamy texture, and uses finely milled lavender flowers to very gently exfoliate the skin. Great for unclogging impurities and getting rid of dead dull skin cells for an instantly brighter and clearer complexion.
 bareMinerals Daily Recovery Concentrate
bareMinerals Daily Recovery Concentrate (RRP £19.99)
I don't think I've used any of bareMinerals' skincare before, and this Daily Recovery Concentrate looks interesting. It's described as "a deeply hydrating treatment to replenish and retain moisture, whilst leaving the skin supple and increasing its resilience over time". Sounds promising as a potential Winter Skin Saviour perhaps?
Too Faced Flatbuki Brush
Too Faced Flatbuki Brush (RRP £12)
My favourite item in the box is this beautiful makeup brush from Too Faced. The cruelty-free synthetic brushes are unbelievably soft and are known as their bestselling 'Teddy Bear' hair formula which sums it up perfectly. At first, I thought it just looked like a regular blush or powder brush, but it does in fact seem to resemble a 'Flatbuki' as the bristles are longer in length than my other blusher brushes. A lovely new addition to my makeup brush collection!

Summary: The contents are worth a whopping £75.49 in total, so if you're looking for a box which offers only full-sized products, and gives you a great mix of beauty products from well-known luxury brands, then worth check out the Look Incredible beauty box.

Look Incredible Beauty Box* is available in Standard (£18.99 plus p&p per month) or Deluxe (£35 per month including p&p). For more info and to sign up, visit lookincredible.co.uk
