When I heard that Real Techniques had released two makeup palettes, I was excited like everyone else. So I was even more excited when I found out that I'd won one from the lovely Nic (who writes Strawberry Blonde) in her blog giveaway!

Friday, 17 January 2014
Inspired by reading so many 'Best of 2013' posts, I decided that it was high time I picked up the much hyped Miracle Complexion Sponge from Real Techniques.
The One & Only Make-Up Tag
Wednesday, 25 September 2013
I was tagged by the lovely Ana from Anagoesgreen to do the One & Only Tag that's currently circulating on the blogosphere. It was tough going through my make-up collection and compiling what's essentially an ultimate favourites list, but here we go - these are my final picks to the question "If you could only have one.....what would it be?".
Rave Review: Real Techniques Blush Brush

Real Techniques Blush Brush (£9.99, link)
I never thought I'd ever be writing a post about how much I love a blusher brush. Funny how things turn out isn't it?! I'm a big blush fan but I'd never quite found a brush to apply it with that I truly adored, until now.
How I Clean My Make-up Brushes
Wednesday, 7 November 2012
Cleaning make-up brushes can be one those chores that you just don't want to do, but know that you have to. I try to deep-clean (as in properly wash them rather than just wipe them after use) my used make-up brushes every 10 days or so because my skin is a little on the oily side and is prone to breakouts. Everyone washes their make-up brushes in their own way, so this is just how I do mine.
Tag: 10 Products I Would Repurchase
Tuesday, 25 September 2012
There have been some good tags doing the rounds on the blogosphere once again, and this one has been a recent favourite mine to read. These are the 10 products that I would repurchase straight away if they randomly decided to disappear one day! It was very difficult to pick just 10 of course, so all of these naturally fall into that coveted Holy Grail pile for me and represent just a handful of the insane amount of products that I use on a regular basis. I was tagged by CSI Beauty and I tag any #bbloggers who are reading this and fancy doing it!
Beauty Debate: Natural vs Synthetic Make-up Brushes - Which do you use and why?
Friday, 24 August 2012
If you're a make-up junkie, chances are you'll also have some kind of make-up brush collection, whether it's small, large, or somewhere in between. I never used to have many make-up brushes, but as my cosmetics collection grew, I found myself becoming a lot more interested in brushes and discovering which ones I liked using and which ones I didn't for a variety of reasons.
Review: Real Techniques Your Eyes / Enhanced Starter Set

Real Techniques Your Eyes / Enhanced Starter Set (£21.99, link)
I've wanted this brush set since receiving the Real Techniques Core Collection as a birthday gift back in June. I popped into Boots yesterday to pick up some bits and I noticed that I had enough points on my clubcard to get this, so into my shopping basket it went!

June Favourites
Sunday, 1 July 2012
I have a lot of favourites this month, so I've split them into two sections below for ease of reading.
Skincare & Haircare etc
Dr Nick Lowe Oil Control Anti Blemish Day Cream
This is one of the best moisturisers I've ever tried for oily skin. It gives you the hydration that you need (and oily skin still needs some!), whilst also helping to regulate sebum. I end up using a lot less powder throughout the day when I apply this in the morning as it keeps shine at bay.
Balance Me Radiance Face Mask*
I've used this twice so far, and I'm really impressed with it. It's a 3 in 1 mask that "polishes, hydrates and smoothes", which means that it gives you a deep cleanse as well as exfoliating your face. When you take it off, it leaves your skin feeling moisturised too. Amazing stuff and 98% natural too.
A'kin 24 Hour Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner
I have been raving about this a lot recently and for good reasons. Seriously one of the best leave-in conditioners you can pick up that is also 100% natural. Reviewed here.
JĀSÖN Facial Natural Sunblock SPF 20*
I've always disliked wearing sunscreen in the past because the products I've tried have always been too heavy for my skin and don't absorb easily, I hate that greasy feeling! This facial sunscreen from JASON is the exact opposite and is ideal for putting on under your make-up. Reviewed here.
NEOM Tranquility Organic Pillow Mist
This was from the NEOM Utter Relxation Collection Gift Set that I received for my birthday. Absolutely love the scent of this pillow spray, so calming and relaxing, just what I need to help me sleep.
Make-Up etc
Real Techniques Buffing Brush & Contour Brush
Although I have been using all of the brushes in the Core Collection, these two have quickly become daily favourites in my make-up routine. The Buffing Brush is just THE brush for applying foundation with and the Contour Brush has been great for applying very pigmented blushers because the shape of it gives you a lot of control.
Leighton Denny Remove & Rectify Cuticle Remover
Does what it promises to do simply and effectively. Reviewed here.
Nails Inc for In Style Blue Bell
Gorgeous summer pastel blue, NOTD.
China Glaze Dress Me Up
I've been wearing this dusky rose neutral shade a lot this month, the formula is just perfect.
NOTD.
Benefit The POREfessional Primer
Love this primer, it really does reduce the size of my pores and foundation just glides over the top of it. So glad that I picked up a couple of the samples with Glamour magazine!
MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl
My new favourite nude lippie, swatches here.
Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia
Easy to wear, sheer red toned lip balm. Gives a lovely wash of colour and is very moisturising.
Swatched here.
